Who we Are

Lateral began trading about 1991. Initially it was a home based business specializing in installation of Communications cabling & phone systems.

In about 1996 Lateral opened a small retail store in McCallum St Swan Hill. From these premises it sold landline phones, small end faxes & LG Aria phone systems. It also stocked & sold a range of phone accessories & ancillary’s.

In 1999 Lateral moved to its current location at 363 Campbell St & added Mobile phones, UHF’s, PA Systems, Security Systems & Intercoms to the product mix. Lateral also expanded its service offerings with TV Antennae installation being one of them.

In 2004 the owners, Wayne & Barb Sly, sold the Business to Murray Valley Office National.

Murray Valley Office National then took the Business a step further by joining the Leading Edge Telecoms group, one of Telstra’s largest customers in Australia. Lateral also undertook the task of becoming a licensed security system reseller & installer, an aim it achieved in 2005.

Murray Valley Office National & Lateral now work together to offer the Business’s of North West Victoria a total solution for all their Office requirements.

Through the years Lateral has employed between 2 & 12 staff.
